“In a galaxy far, far away…” you will be able to discover all the charms of Star Wars! 🌠
The introduction of every movie in the Star Wars saga is part of the life and culture of several generations and gained momentum with the new trilogy. In addition to the movie releases, the productions boosted the creation of a Star Wars themed area at Disney Park. Opened in August, the new attraction is in Orlando, Florida.
In the “happiest place on earth”, the space has 56,000 m² and is the biggest thematic expansion of this true dream factory. In each corner is the Black Spire Outpost, an area of the galaxy that was once frequented, but is now a place for those who want to hide from the First Order.
The area has two attractions that promise to give visitors a taste of the Star Wars world experience. The first is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Yes, the famous saga spacecraft can be explored and set the stage for amazing photos, thanks to the neat scenery.
In addition to posing for Instagram, you can take control and become the pilot or even a shooter or engineer on a special mission. It’s fun that never ends!
The second attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is set for December 5th. In this experiment, you will be from the Resistance and will fight the First Order – and will be able to interact with either BB-8 or the main protagonist of the third trilogy, Rey.
Among the attractions of the Disney Park Star Wars themed area are personalized products. At Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers you can build your own custom lightsaber. The assembly is done in front of you, which makes the experience unique. The value of the saber is $ 199.99 plus tax.
Droid Depot is the ideal place to build your own droid at the Black Spire Outpost industrial depot. There you have to choose between BB or R series units. Then the droid goes to the mounting station with instructions until it comes to life. The price per droid is $ 99.99 plus tax.
You can further customize your droid with accessories and personality chips for an additional price. And it interacts with some areas of the park.
The food part is another attraction apart, after all, the entire menu is designed to make the experience on the planet Batuu immersive. There’s Oga’s Cantina, a bar with exotic drinks and incredible ambiance that makes you feel in a Black Spire Outpost canteen.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is in an operational hangar. The restaurant is run by chef Strono Cookie Tuggs, famous for its rare-tasting dishes and unique options.
Ronto Roasters is a sandwich stall with alternatives such as grilled sausage and pork wrap.
The Milk Stand, in turn, sells the famous glasses of blue or green Batuu milk in the frozen version. These drinks have already been tasted by Luke Skywalker in Episode IV and Episode VII. Too much, isn’t it?
Another highlight is the Outpost Mix, which is a seasoned, salty and sweet colored popcorn mix. It can be found at Kat Saka’s Kettle stall.
Characters and setting
In addition to the aforementioned attractions, what makes the new Star Wars theme area unique is its setting. Every detail has been designed to make you really feel at Black Spire Outpost.
There is a cinematic atmosphere, including sounds, smells and sensations. The park staff themselves are part of the story, and make all that more magical!
For fans of the saga, the exciting thing is to have contact with familiar elements such as Millennium Falcon and meet with Star Wars characters such as Kylo Ren, Rey and Chewbacca.
There’s a lot to explore in this release, and it’s still in Disney’s plans to have a Star Wars-themed Resort for a complete feel.
Disney Park’s new Star Wars theme area creates a true experience worthy of a distant galaxy. It’s worth adding the space between the sights to explore and have fun!
